Scratch one off the list!

On my list of things to do before I die is to have a son. Well that task has been successfully accomplished, I am happy to announce:

Malachi Terence Brown was born September 1st, 2007 @ 5:25 am, weighing a delightful 6lbs and 12 oz. For all the details, some gorier than others, check out my baby blog.

He is a perfect specimen. I am so proud and full of joy that I think my heart is actually incapable of containing the depth of emotion that has been surging through it since his arrival. I am not the only one who is head over heels. His daddy is quite taken with him as is big sister Thyra. He is the perfect addition to our family, and I truly can't remember what life was like before he got here. What on earth did we do for fun? Now, hours are spent gazing at his little perfect self and admiring every little baby sigh and facial expression as though he were the first and only baby to grace our presence. I know these first newborn moments are so precious and fleeting though, so I really feel no need to apologize for my parental obsession with the offspring I have miraculously produced. It's all to be marveled at. Life is so sweet.
