I love summertime dining.
We eat outdoors as often as possible, and somehow everything just tastes better in the fresh air. It doesn't hurt that all my favorite produce is available and at its freshest in these months as well. I'm not a culinary expert by any means, (or as you can tell no photographer either), but tonight we had such a delicious meal I couldn't help but take a photo or two to remember how good even simple food is in the summer. We had a spinach salad, adorned with avocado, mango, raspberries and red onion with a balsamic vinaigrette, honey bbq'd chicken, pearl rice and super sweet and tender corn on the cob. YUM. To top it off, there is a bumbleberry cobbler made by Grandma S. ready and waiting once we have some room available. Does it get better than this?
Hopefully these pics will tide me over all winter when I am sick and tired of the crockpot.
