i am getting married in less than six months. i am excited, stressed, nervous, a little scared of what is to come, and of what will become faded past. however, i am quickly reminded of why this man is for keeps. he does not feed my girlish appetites, or lusts for things vain and superficial. instead he is deeply satisfying. he shares. his time, his money, his thoughts, his space. his lap to needy child or dog. he dreams larger than most, and yet is grounded in reality. he loves completely unselfishly, gives more than he takes and encourages the same. I am overcome with gratitude.
